Ooh, I really like this Pocket Silhouettes set! Here’s a card I made use Red Riding Hood, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White – I decided to try the shadowing like Jayne did with her gorgeous Upsy Daisy Card , however I used the Choc Chip ink instead of Sahara Sand.

What do you think? I will also have another Pocket Silhouettes card to share with you later this week, but I want to show it off at my launch tomorrow first!
Back soon! Happy Sunday!

Wow! I finally got one of these done on time! It really helps when you are desperate to do some stamping and want to play with the new colours!
Hubby offered to take the boy and go for a ‘boys hour’ and play with the remote control car down at the local shopping centre carpark and I couldn’t resist stamping instead doing of the dishes/washing/ironing/etc!! Hey, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do! Right?!
Anyway, Kristina’s Challenge #49 was:

and here is my card using the colours and the Wanted Stamp Set……

I layered Vellum over the stamped background to mute the colours a little and used black brads to fasten the vellum to the cardstock. I also used the narrow black grosgrain ribbon to break it up a little. Here is a closeup of the embellishment….

I took a tip from my very helpful upline, Jayne, and inked up the circular stamp with Kiwi Kiss and then used a cotton bud to wipe the ink of some areas before re-inking those areas with my Rose Red Marker. Thanks Jayne!
Thanks for visiting!

Well, I promised some pics of the birthday cakes and my computer is finally playing nice so I get a chance upload from my camera and check them out (I will respond to emails later, sorry! It wouldn’t let me send any the last couple of days!)
On Saturday we had a Number 3 cake with spiders!! Aidan liked the spiders on the ’7′ cake and so we decided they were a nice easy way to decorate his ‘3′! (I have been told that I must make mention of Owen’s help with the spider webs! I was having so much trouble with my shakes getting the webs right, so he piped the spirals of the webs for me!)

Then on Sunday we were having a picnic in the park and I picked something easy to transport as well…..

So easy! Just a round cake (I flavoured half the mixture chocolate and mixed the batters so it was kind of marbled) and then I iced and crumbled up honeycomb to go on the top like rocks at a construction site. Aidan was most amazed to see his truck on top of his cake! And here is the birthday boy himself……….

Doesn’t he look like an angel?!! LOL!!! Hmm, pictures of the sugar highs after the cakes and treats would show a different story!!
With all my cake baking (thankyou Women’s Weekly Triple Test Kitchen!!) and the slices/pizzas/tarts I’ve made this weekend, I am surprised any of us can move after 2 days of party food! We haven’t really even eaten any Easter chockies!! *gasp* Aidan doesn’t even really know about the Easter Bunny other than his ‘Easter Bunny Bucket’ (his word for Basket!) that he made at Sprouts. He has seen some chocolate eggs, but we’ve said to leave them until later and he hasn’t fussed – thank goodness. So today will be a day to finish up a few leftovers….. and to try and get some veggies snuck in somehow!!
Okay, thanks for reading the ravings of a slightly obsessed mummy – promise I’ll share more stamping with you soon!!!

Well, I mentioned in another post the arrival of Jai Anthony to some lovely friends of mine. I’m going to meet him today so I thought I’d make a card to welcome him to the world. Now, since Bundle of Joy has been retired *sob*, I have to make sure I get some use out of Nursery Neccessities this year! It won’t be hard with the number of girls I know that are expecting, but I’m starting off easy by semi-CASEing from the IB&C!!!

And this card is similar to the girls and boys baby cards I have designed for my next SAS (if you are interested – it’s on May 14th).

Chocolate Chip is such a versatile colour – it looks great with pretty much anything and is a lovely ‘warm’ colour for baby cards – here I used it with Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink.
Thanks for visiting today! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend….. and some chocolate!!

Hard to believe 3 years ago we were holding him in our arms for the first time…. still makes me well up! I’m a bit of a softie really!!! He is such a mischievous delight in our lives that the last 3 years have certainly not been boring!!! Here is his first birthday card made by me….

I just love these new In Colors (almost as much as I love my boy
LOL!) and I was down at Alicia’s last week and she had her Cricut out….. flicking through the booklet……ooooh, I like that car!! So with the scraps I had on hand, Alicia and Paula cut me out 1 car in Chocolate Chip and 2 cars in Baja Breeze and I sat there and trimmed them and layered them with Dimensionals. Voila – a cute car, but what to use it on?

Well, thankyou Kristina Werner because what should appear in my inbox the next day, but a colour challenge?! Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White! And in my mind I could see this card falling into place! Unfortunately I didn’t get it finished in time to enter it this week, but I still got it done! Yay! I did have to use my Bashful Blue marker to add a little extra colour for depth at the ‘highlight’ marks on the car – need to make me a Baja Breeze marker! I also added some Styled Silver hodge podge – gotta have some shiny wheels!!!
Anyway, hope you like it! I’ll be back later this weekend with photos of cakes too – promise!! LOL!

Isn’t it a mad time of year? Or is it just crazy here? I don’t have any ‘proper’ stamping to share, but just some easter projects that I ‘whipped up’ last night (yeah right – if truth be told I spent hours on them where I should have been asleep!! LOL!) – my own fault for being disorganised!
Here are some Easter Bunny pizzas that I made for the childcare Easter Party today – just used a bunny head cookie cutter to cut out the puff pastry and topped with sauce, bacon, pineapple and cheese – I thought they looked pretty good…. until hubby came home and said ‘oh look, fish!!!’

Then I made 15 of these little gifts for the staff at the childcare centre. I figure they could all use a treat as they work so hard to look after our little monsters munchkins! LOL! I used Ballet Blue and scored A5 pieces to form a rectangular tube then my horizontal slot punch created the holes in each end to tie the ribbons (great use of my retired ribbon stash!)….

What was inside you ask?……..

A Chocolate Drink sachet and an Oreo Mint Wafer stick! Just something little, but something for them to sit and enjoy (if they can) over the Easter weekend. Oh and I used the Happy Easter Stamp from the Greetings Eight Stamp Set! It’s a new set for us this year and it’s great that it has stamps like this as it covers the important events without you having to buy a stamp set for each occasion!
Okay, that’s all from me for now. I’ll be back next week. We aren’t going away, but we will be celebrating our little boy’s 3rd birthday!! Wow! And amongst making the cake and other birthday preparations, I will be doing a little bit of stitching for another special little boy that arrived today – Welcome Jai and congrats to the Ayars ramily! Can’t wait to meet you!
Happy Easter everyone! Enjoy the extra time with your family and friends! K

Has it been a week already? Wow! How much of that time have I spent burrowed in my new IB&C?! LOL! Okay, okay, so I’ve been having a play as well and this card combines both some new colours with welcoming back the One of a Kind stamp set and the Boho Blossom Punch! This is also a CASE of a card I received a while ago from Lin Mei and it’s also a Colour Challenge card!! Wow – I should get triple points for it or something!!

The Colour Challenge was from a wonderful group of Australian SU! demonstrators over the weekend where they held a cyberstamp challenge weekend in honour fo our ‘Extra Hour’ (Daylight Savings ended) and the colours were Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa and Pink Pirouette – gorgeous combo!
Hope you are well and I’ll be back tomorrow with another challenge card! K
