Entries from June 2009
Yesterday I held a Stamp’n'Chat afternoon where a few friends (customers and other SU! demos) came over and we made some Christmas cards to donate to Camp Quality. It was a lovely afternoon with good company as we stamped – oh and some lovely scones too if I don’t say so myself!!
. And, guess what?! We ended up making 120 cards!!!! How amazing is that for under 3 hours! I’ll get them out and photograph them later so you can see what they look like.
For now, though, here’s some pictures from Fiona’s challenges on the INKlings Cyberstamp night a week or so ago.
Challenge 1 was a sketch challenge and for some reason I went all pretty and girly with pinks and purples and a little bit of silver matting!

Challenge 2 was to make this little purse (should have been a bit bigger but I couldn’t make my printer enlarge it!). Isn’t it cute? I used more of the Tea Party DSP – it is so delicate and girly, perfect for a little purse!

Thanks for visiting! K

A big ‘Hi!’ to any of you that visited us at the Salisbury Craft and Hobby Fair today (or yesterday)! It has been lovely to meet so many people (including other SU! demonstrators!) and see their eyes light up at all the ideas on our stand! If you did visit us you would have seen the gorgeous business card holder cards (sorry, I couldn’t figure out a shorter description!) that Laura designed! They use Circle Circus, Confetti White cardstock, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red inks and the Slit and 1 1/4″ circle punches. We do have a special bundle price available for you to purchase the inks, cardstock and stamp set for only $100 (including postage) so please contact me if you’ d like to purchase this bundle.
Circle Circus was a stamp set I was really not keen on when I first saw it and then we got it for free at Convention – well, who’s going to say no to free rubber?! Not me! Anyway, I’ve been doing some playing with it and now I think it’s one I will get a LOT of use out of!! LOL! Here are a couple of my cards….

Yep, that’s where I’ll be this June long weekend! Well, not on Saturday, but I’ll definitely be there on Sunday and Monday! I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new customers – and seeing current ones too, so please stop and say ‘hi’ if you are there! I will be working with Kirsty and Laura who are 2 other SA SU! demonstrators and they are both so friendly and talented, I’m very lucky that they asked me to join them at the fair! I am sure you will enjoy our display and Make and Takes!
We have 2 special bundles available to order – come along to Stall 41 to find out more, there’s also IB&C’s and some retired sets too! Lots of lovely ideas and samples to check out….. plus, we’re right near a chocolate stand, so after you visit us you can go and sugar up!!! LOL! Just kidding! There’s over 140 stalls and admission is only $4 for adults, $3 for concession and children under 15 are FREE! That’s a bargain price for such a big craft fair!
Speaking of sweets….. here’s a card I made fro a SAS a couple of weeks ago! I was playing around with it and couldn’t get it quite right until I decided to crimp the DSP across the front! Much better - and it reminded me of a patty pan wrapper!
Oh dear, I must spend less time thinking about food!!

See you at the fair!

Last month’s special certainly convinced these girls that joining SU! would be a great idea! Welcome to Lauren and Emma! They join Alison, Katy, Michelle and myself in a little team I have called the Valley Stampers. It is so exciting for me to actually have a group of girls that were excited by SU! and wanted to enjoy it themselves! I’m looking forward to a ‘Team Day’ soon so they can all meet each other!
Lately I’ve been playing with my Upsy Daisy set and the Urban Garden DSP. They are both gorgeous and I love the colours in the DSP! Here are two cards I’ve made recently…… Shame I took the pic of the pyramid card before I added some felt flowers (Old Olive and Baja Breeze) with a Rhinestone centre, but you get the picture!

So now you can see why I decided I had to change my blog header too!
Have a great week! K
